A Tale Untold!

Tormented hearts they held inside,
Full of devotion, craving and fervor alike,
A mind so full of melancholies,
They coveted sanctuary in each other,
Words they inscribe are not just epistles merged right,
They are smithereens of a wrecked core,
Wails are the ink they abuse,
There is a bantam hope that glistens in their eyes,
Hands that seek the right,
O’ such desolate words they write,
Full of unfulfilled wishes of theirs,
Which still hope to find an amorous succor,
To soothe the wrinkles of their eyes,
Waiting to embrace in a world of delight,
As they heave a sigh, the pain reignites,
Abandoned dreams, became the thorns in life,
They walk the road alone now,
They walk the road deprived of love now,
Awaiting, yearning, dreaming alike.

The Travel Bug!

The wanderlust gene in me always screams when I come back from a cosy and magnificent vacation. This pixie little gene makes me want to plan for the next one. Travelling is something that I really enjoy, thankfully I have a family who supports it and enjoys it as well. Though I totally hate packing and unpacking (luggage limitations you see), anyway as I was saying, I love it nonetheless. So here is my travel bucket list, which hopefully I will be able to fulfil till I turn 50 :
Greece: There is something so powerful about the sea, it almost calls to me. Greece is one place I truly want to visit. Such grandeur.
Egypt: I have always been fascinated by the Pyramids, such amazing works of art and their history. A must visit definitely. The city ain’t bad either. The sphinx is especially my favorite. I have seen The Mummy series say about 60 times till now. Yeah!
Tuscany : Ever since I’ve watched “Under the Tuscan Sun”, I have been dying to visit this dreamy land. Imagine sipping tea early morning and this view.

Maldives : I’ve seen enough clips of the resorts there and OMG. Plus I’ve heard they have a resort underwater. I mean and I repeat – OMG!
Ireland : I love Irish men and hence I love Ireland, plus the scenic view, the castles, water falls, wide green acres, I can go on and on and on
Switzerland : For the love of chocolates and breathtaking view.

Amazon Rainforests – I mean I know the weather will be horrid but imagine the fun. The biggest challenge is to get away from civilization and survive.  ( I will be shit scared because I hate reptiles).
Morocco – Just for the food – period
London – because I so want to meet dear friends and shopping ofcourse. Plus a quite little cottage somewhere in the country side will not hurt.

Paris : There is something about France that excites you. Even though I’ve heard that they are pretty racist. I would still just love sitting at a patisserie, gazing at the Eiffel Tower.
Rome : So much history, enough said.
Venice – Imagine sitting in a Gondola, ( I have and it’s wonderful but in two measly malls), with music and you floating away into serenity. That.
USA – I have seen bits of it, need to visit all the states. Note to self – Must visit Vegas again and again and again.

Mexico – there is something about Mexico that calls to you, people are amazing and you have to see its undeniable beauty. Ofcourse Aztec is a must visit. Also the fact that it is one of the largest producers of chocolate does not hurt. Hello Mariachi band, Tequila, Guacamole, Burritos etc etc etc.

Japan – there is something incredibly beautiful about this place. The culture itself is so intriguing. The architecture, so pretty.

So hopefully I get to make this happen till am about 50. Images, courtesy Google till I can replace them with the ones I take :) Who knows after that right

How Horny are You?

We live in a nation where scripts like the Kamasutra was born. A country which proudly displays ancient temples like Konark, Khajuraho, Jagdish Mandir, Markandeshwar Shiv temple, Padawali, Virupaksha etc. Kama is one of the pillars of the Indian Mythology and ergo Hinduism, then when did it take a turn for the worse? Somewhere our views have skewed and have taken a perversion of sorts. Kama depicts a lot more than just expression. It establishes the fact that the basic human need to procreate rules. It is one of the most basic desires. Throughout the world, religions has emphasized the importance of sexual/love expression. The list of deities who are the epitome of love have been known and been prayed to. Be it Aphrodite (Greek Goddess), Kamadeva (Hindu god of desire), Venus or Cupid ( Roman mythology) etc. Cultures all over the world have in their folklore symbols of passion, love and fertility.

Ban on porn is a misguided step towards dreaming of a society with high moral value. On one end there are simple things like advertisements that objectify women. Men who deem it their right to harass women and think of many beneath them. Is porn the cause for it?

Fulfilment of desire, a deep seated need, demands a proper channel. Parents in our society are afraid to talk about sex with their children; this is what is wrong with the world. Correct information from a trusted source can only be enlightening. You need to raise children with better moral system and establish trust that they will make the right choice. Explain to them about consequences of their actions. Educate them. Make them respect women. Porn has twisted something as passionate as love selling it at the pretext of lust. Children are not spared in this risky business. I fail to understand this mentality which has made love and lust as synonyms and made the society more perverted. I never ever support any ban or restriction on expression and thoughts because after all what we do, feel and reciprocate is what makes us an individual.

Out of all the articles and news excerpts I read over the past couple of days, I fail to clearly understand the reason behind the ban. Unless it was to make people aware that there are about 800 + porn websites ready to be accessed. No wonder Sunny Leone shifted to Bollywood, a woman’s gut will always guide her. Maybe she had a premonition that porn would be banned soon. (lol).

Good governance is never run with a show of autocratic leadership.  Indian’s have forgotten why they got their independence it seems. A young country like ours needs to address problems at the root level. It needs to remove certain taboo’s and address them in a positive manner. In our country, people are drowning in poverty, faced with religious restrictions, battling the growing economic divide, where does all the frustration go? People rape because they know they may get away with it. Some think it’s normal. There is a different problem in every sect of the population. Banning porn, how did that help? The kind of porn you watch tells a lot about you. You identify and connect with what gives you pleasure. Some intrigue you and some thrill you. They lead a connection to the inner conscious which is closed, may be due to fear or is yet unexplored. It often has a deep rooted psychological truth that is what needs to be tackled. That is the key. For instance, a submissive person in life may want to dominate during sex or a dominant person might just like the thrill his/her power has (calling Freud). That’s the kind of porn that excites him/her. There is always a connect of the subconscious with the kind you like.

Every Morning

Every morning he gifts me tears,
Every morning he tears me open,
Every morning he makes me sad,
Every morning he makes me mad,
Every morning he finds a new place to hurt,
Every morning another part of me is forsaken,
Every morning he makes me want to turn back time,
Every morning he makes me wish I was wise,
Every morning I think of him,
Every morning I replay his last moments,
Every morning I wake up bruised,
Every morning there is a new wound,
Every morning I shy away from the world,
Every morning I lose faith in every soul,
Every morning I pray for the day to end,
Every morning I still remain the same.

Wish Granted!

A mistake made twice,
I am to be blamed right,
Lucky chance few get,
Unless you are stuck in time.

Feelings don't vanish in a day,
They are usually killed one way,
Why cry when you kill someone,
Be happy your dilemma is gone.

The worst thing you can do,
Is make someone feel unwanted,
The worst kind of hurt,
Is when you leave them sordid.

Why say hello,When you always wanted to say goodbye,
Why fake care, when you hurt them in the end,
Why play with their heart, when you knew it was broken within.

Carved in stone now,
Love no one ever,
Ready to walk away,
Wish me away,
That you did,
Are you happy?
You are given your will.

Your faith will be shaken,
Your hopes will be twisted,
Your life will be changed,
Your love will be gutted in vein.

Where does all the humanity go,
When you burn someone down,
How is it ok to kick someone,
No, It's never alright when you drown them down.

So, I will be human for you,
I give you what you wish for,
May you be happy and stay that way,
Just don't break someone's heart again.

Within!

You should listen to yourself,
How it guides you from within,
How you get the feelings,
How it tells you, you are dreaming.

You know when you've been played,
You know when you're erased,
There is a pattern, you figure it out,
You were the flavour of some months,
Now it's strawberry time.

Real You!

Yes it's true, we are who we are,
For many we change,
But this soul of mine,
Does not anymore, no not tonight,
Will pretend to be the righteous one.

I was so wrong, thought I was strong,
Cursed and cried, to outlive this time,
Friends support, family loves,
To ease the pain you have day and night.

Then I searched for an answer,
Questioned my choice,
Thought about their actions,
And found I was not imprecise,
It's others and their plight.

Love is so blind, it sees the person's shine,
So pure and out of sight,
We fall into its trap once or twice.

We fall head down,
Like drowning in the pool of life,
In hopes to live the high life,
Not knowing though,
How to swim to the other side.

Somehow a hand pulls you out,
Makes you breathe again,
Helps you take the leap again,
Awakening from a dream,
You see someone helping,
It is the real you,
The one who is with you,
Always on your side.
