Wonderful Words !

So many writers, so many journeys!

Words are power. They affect us in ways only we know and we feel. They leave us wounded, loved, sordid, morose or just plain ecstatic. It was when I was young and I started reading, I realised that there is a new world , a new life that you are exposed to every time you pick up a new book, read a new author, a writer or a poet. How beautifully the words travel through the mind, heart, the soul and leave a mark.

The love of books is often not really enjoyed to the maximum. And then there is poetry. Such words, glorious words that haunt you. They give wings to your voice, to your heart and your feelings. Pain or happiness all flow through you and onto paper, waiting to be read. There is something magical the way poems lift your spirits, are your comrades. If smiles and tears help console you then words help alleviate you. There are so many people I love to read, but these poems have etched in my heart since a millennia. Such simple words, but such power they resonate.

No Strings Attached!

There hoisted a man,
A puppet of destiny,
Swung in tides of fate,
His memories dangled with threads,
He gazed at the world,
Seeking for his one and only,
Like the waves of the sea,
Which collide when they hit the shore,
He still gazed on hopeful,
That one day he will find what he desires,
The puppet knew not of the strings,
That held him up to perceive,
Because the hands that embraced him so,
Steering and adoring to the core,
But he kept searching beyond,
Not looking up once to realize,
What he wanted held him strong.

Power!

Have you ever been so deliriously in lust with someone that it breaks every restraint that you may have in you. It's like this hot energy that flows through your system. You speak your innermost desires. You imagine various possibilities. You images all the crevices that you want to explore, all the tunnels of the mind you want to travel.

All you can see and feel at that particular moment are just raw feelings, wants that you have for this person. It's almost like someone ignites this part of you that is in limbo. You want them. Period. Your mind twists reality into dreams that are woven in passion. So break all chains of societal constraints. Desires, needs and wants all coincide, all fuel your imagination of the things you want to do. How you want to show that person how much you desire them. That's the power a person has on you.

It maybe many things or just one thing that attracts you to them. But the undeniable chemistry surpasses all thresholds and you become primeval. You drop all personas, shadows and you remain what you are - a man and a woman. The affinity of the sexes, the traits that call you out to each other. All shams release their grip on you and all you see is that person in the most naked of forms. Nothing else matters. Only you do. Yeah, that's the power of attraction, that's the power of passion.

Tell him...

Nobody knows what he means to me,
Our time was supposed to be serene,
Of similar hearts which bleeds the same,
Of memories that haunt us within,
I wish he would know that,
I really wish I could tell him that.

He knew not where I went,
But he was on my mind till end,
In my heart, near my soul,
In my breath and dreams galore,
His voice never left me alone,
His laugh never let me snore,
I wish he would know,
I really wish I could tell him that.

He's the meaning that brought back life,
His moods and him affect me inside,
The curve of his neck embedded in my mind,
How his fingers traced my soul every night,
The inspiration to feel the fire ignite,
He's the one that made me try,
I wish he would know,
I really wish I could tell him that.

I want him near me saying,
No games, no pretence, no playing,
No acts that he may see right,
Just him and me under a starry night,
Maybe I thought I was what he needed,
Maybe more today than yesterday,
I wish he would know,
I really wish I could tell him that.

Life leads to a mess unchecked,
Happens to everyone and same,
But should we not take a leap,
When there is a chance which seeks,
A hand that helps you out of mud,
A ear that listens to all your rut,
A tongue that licks the tears away,
A hug that makes you go insane,
I wish he would know,
I really wish I could tell him that.

So many secrets we slay everyday,
So many people who might want and play,
You don't wish him steal you away,
But you kill the hand that takes him away,
To seek pleasure without the pain,
But not every pain is the same,
Does he know this fact,
I really wish I could tell him that.

I beg and and I implore,
Hoping he will feel a little more,
For the happiness that surrounds me whole,
His presence does this more than he knows,
Maybe it's just my bubble in which I soar,
Maybe he doesn't feel it indeed some more,
Maybe he wants someone else's greed,
Maybe he politely pushes me seaming,
Maybe I am losing a part of my mind or all,
So helpless yet again I feel,
Can anyone tell me please,
Is this how life's supposed to be is all?

Home!

This funny feeling,
That floats around,
They say its beautiful,
But the serenity is found.

This funny feeling,
That makes you smile,
They say it makes you glow,
But the conversations begin to flow.

This funny feeling,
That makes the soul warm,
They say it makes you twirl,
But the heart knows it's happiness galore.

This funny feeling,
That makes you soar,
They say it brings back who you are,
But its like coming back home.

Stand still!

No one really knows how you cope. I got some news and saw something and the dam broke again. The smiles on their face and their hands wrapped around each other. You don't want to see someone else being loved better than you by the person you love or loved. It's torturous. No matter how much you train yourself to not let it affect you, it does. It forever will because a part of you belongs to that person. A person who no longer values it. You are the past. You, are forgotten. Your love was never enough. You were never enough.

It must be a nice feeling to be fought for. To be craved. It must be an overwhelming feeling to be loved by someone who values you. It hurts equally more when they say you are precious, just not enough for them to own you. Yes it hurts, the dam is broken again. Six years, time flew. So many things came to light and so much hurt brewed. Those words still ring in my ears. His actions still torment me like daggers through the heart. Those moments, those memories still hurt. You smile but you know you are not the same. Six years, but the tears somehow flow again. Broken promises. Broken faith. Karma gets you and not them. It's time for you to wake up from the dream.

I don't know why fates have never been kind to me. Maybe I am not worthy. Maybe they were right, maybe I am nothing. It's all a sham. It's all a story. Maybe I deserve to be cold. Maybe I need to be bold. Maybe I need to wake up. And even if they say otherwise, they show you your worth somehow. So don't listen to them when they say you are special. Because if they meant it, they would have showed it.

Believe!

I don't believe in superstars,
Organic food and foreign cars,
I don't believe in price of gold,
The certainty of grown and old,
The right is right and left is wrong,
The north and south can hear along,
The east is east and west is west,
And being first is always the best,
But, I believe in future,
I believe in life and death,
I'd like to believe in fate and God,
He's watching people everywhere,
He knows who does and does not care,
And I may not be a merry woman,
Sometimes I wonder who am I,
But I believe in love and music,
And I believe in you.
