Describe
o’dear party souls what do you call a crazy long weekend? Well let me tell
you that it involves you being busy af. When it leaves you with no time do what
you love doing, which in my case is to write.
So, I met
these bunch of really cool people. The conversation I thought maybe could've
been a point of concern to be honest, well because you know it’s a tad bit
difficult to gauge the other person when you meet them for the first time.
Sitting through that amazing conversation though was truly awesome. After I
came back, I kept pondering over the concept of generation gap. It’s something
that a lot of us struggle with because of the difference of opinions, thoughts,
values between one generation to the next might differ slightly and sometimes a
whole lot more. There is so much more attached to the concept these days. There
are likes, dislikes, peer to peer association,
movies, books, music etc. hell even different TV soaps which OK is a major point of discussion these days.
From the use of anecdotes to character associations, you have to be with it or
trust me you will find yourself lost. It was wonderful to be exposed to a
different kind of perception.
A
conclusion that I drew was the fact that the gap is supposed to be within
generations right, well it isn’t. It’s between the same generation too. So
basically, it all boils to the connect, your awareness of what is happening in
the world, your exposure to the environment around you. How updated are you with
the “urban” lingo for which there is an entire website and app now (so all the
oldies out there, please connect to the internet and get with it). But among these generation
X clicks, there are some old souls too. With who you connect on levels that
just make the meet worthwhile. To know that there are some really good souls
out there who begin to reinstate your faith in humanity. Well maybe just a
little bit. Also, there are just so many portals to connect with each other,
thanks to all the technological advancements. To strategically form your
virtual symbiotic clan. The only sad thing about it probably could be the fact
that they never really enjoy the growing up part because in most cases they are
already there. But nonetheless totally a fun, enjoyable, enlightening evening.
