It takes a dance to turn you on and yes, if the company is amazing
you enjoy it all the more. I guess even the universe is conspiring against
me and love or wishes for me to get love-struck. A meeting with friends for
lunch led me to meet him again. It’s been a while since we connected but I
guess lady luck has a divergent submission. He looked the same, maybe just a bit cuter
in a good way but 10 years have done him justice. And yes, he is more suave and
gentle now. It was a strange yet a funny feeling which totally left me bedazzled.
I don’t know why but I got butterflies in my stomach when I saw him. I never
thought I would get that for himmmmm. Was it his looks/ talks / gestures that
captivated me or was it just him???? These questions are still circling my
head and boggling my brain.
Has it really been 10 years since he left for US to work? Time
flew, literally. He still has the same boyish smile though. Anyways, it could
have been simple, where you just meet a person and move on, but see it’s my
life and it has to be complicated. Suddenly he suggests that we should have
dinner… why?? Because there just wasn't enough time for us to talk, and we
really did want to talk more and catch up. The best thing about spending one on one
time with a cherished friend is just that the flow of conversation is exactly
that, it just drifts like water. I loved how he made me feel so
comfortable, especially since I was totally awkward and shy the first time we
met separately. It did not seem like we’ve not been in touch since the past 10
years. The comforting environment, his straightforwardness made me unwind and relate to him without any charades which of course steered towards hours and
hours of non-stop conversation. I thought I could talk, he totally bowled me
over.
A good date is one where you don’t want it to
end. There is instant attraction, the grub is delightful, the wine keeps
gushing, you can't stop chuckling, the music is heavenly and the ambience is astounding. Consideration
for the other person is definitely the kick start to any good date. The vital
strategy is how someone makes you feel special because they want to. Want being
the key word. It went obviously well because even as I type this, my heart is
beating fast and I can’t stop smiling
