Despondency!

It isn’t easy. It isn’t easy when your heart is broken, when you are betrayed, when you end up questioning everything that has happened. It isn’t easy when you have to take certain decisions because you have to take back the control of your life. We entrust our hearts to people we love, hoping and praying, that they will handle them with as much care and love as we want them to. This of course rarely happens, if you disagree with me, I guess you are one of the lucky ones.

We may fast forward to dreaming in some relationships and with feelings raging through our body, temptations sometimes get the best of us. So, you either give in to it or you take yourself out of the situation. Both situations are hard because they cause terrible, terrible heartache. If ever you have had your heart broken and you end up thinking that you can deal with the subsequent heartbreaks, my dear heart, you are so wrong. Every new heartbreak affects you the same way, hits you the same way. Your dreams crash, trust breaks and you know it isn’t going to be an easy ride.

So, what do you do? The only benefit I guess of having your heart broken once before is the fact that you are prepped enough to deal with subsequent heartbreaks and even though you promise yourself at the beginning of your journey to heal yourself that you won’t change, you do. You learn to tear up at the right time and know how to hide the tears well. You don’t look so broken, contrary to however you may be feeling at the moment. You learn to keep it all inside you. Why? Because you don’t want the world to have the satisfaction that they broke you because even though they have damaged you, if you wake up every day and live it well, you have not been defeated.
