It would all be so easy,
If she was numb, no worries, no pain,
She would also be happy and glee,
Feeling free of this misery.
It seems though that everything,
Inside her is breaking one cell at a time,
Don't know how she keeps the facade up,
It seems she has gone too far.
She loved him so,
But he used and played her,
He did reward her true love though,
With a dagger right through her heart,
Now the pain lurks in her eyes,
The fear of being left alone,
Thrives inside her mind,
Tears in her eyes keep making her blind.
Others say it's a good thing,
They say it's a beautiful world now,
A black hole, she sees only darkness,
They don't see the pain that hides behind her smile.
She walks around as time passes her by,
The pain never leaves her side,
It's one thing to be broken,
But another to let go without any hopes to survive.
Everyone she thought she could talk to,
Became just another closed door,
Behind the locked heart she now owns,
She sits back and lets the world pass her by.
Each day she wakes up and sighs,
Waiting for the night to come home and cry,
How will she ever come back to the light?
When will his shadow fall behind?
