The epic love people talk about, Siara never
believed in it. She did not believe when people told her she was
beautiful, bravura. How exquisite is the twinkle in her eyes, when she is ecstatic
or captivated. No she didn’t believe..
To the world she was a fantasist, an articulate soul
that needed no reassurance but Saira knew better. She pined to hear true words,
to consume them like fire that made her soul burn. She yearned for that day,
she dreamed of that day.
One day as
she strolled across a cluster of trees, she sat next to a river, whose thundering
journey was to meet the sea. Thinking of where her life would lead. She sat
with her glimmering hair, radiating in the moonlight like the stars had swathed
her. Her pale skin, dead set eyes staring into void. Saira knew that she has
very little hope to hold on to.
As vehement thoughts raced in her mind, she tried
to justify her decision of why she was better than many but then can it, would
it suffice. Can happiness of certain areas of life fill some void? Saira’s
sadness had gyrated into a black hole sucking in all the good things that were
around her. Saira knew that she needed to be fearless, she needed valour and
she needed love.
But to find love in all the erroneous places was
her destiny. She never knew the power of true love, she thought if one ever did.
The river was deep, it walloped up against the rocks, moved with a speed, with the
intent to annihilate. But as Saira saw the river twirl against a bend, calm
and collected the river took shape. She knew she would not be forgiven, that
she would be the cause of sorrow to at least some who loved her. But her grief
was more, like the massive surge of water on a full moon night. Powerful.
Destructive.
A tear found its way to her cheek, breaking all restrain.
Saira stood up ready to say goodbye to the world, to the ones she was dear, to
the ones who loved her….She stood next to the river, welcoming the end…
But does she have the courage to go ahead…..
