Vera stood observing Siara at the
river with blank expression and deep in thought. She knew she was in one of her
moods again. Oh how it drove Vera crazy, how these jiffies challenged her life
and enraged her further.
It infuriated her. She knew then and there what she must do next, hoping that Siara would not have the nerve to go ahead. She had always hated
feeling powerless and out of control. Oh how she loathed her. Vera grew from familiarity yet
again and knew that she would have to beat some sense Siara tonight. Make her fathom
who was in charge of her life.
Finally, Siara got out of the water, changed her mind thinking she needed courage to end this struggle. She would have to make this tough
choice to fight her demons. She knew she could no longer be vulnerable. Siara
knew she was growing feeble, her memories fading. It was time to get back what
was hers. The thought of supremacy made her pale face gleam with determination,
a new strength brewed and she moved like the swift air towards her home in a
small country side town.
Saira had always lived in St. Béchamel:
population – 203, a small town which was mainly known for its agricultural land
and gloriously beautiful fields. It had always been her home, she had never
thought of leaving the place and move in the city, to witness the lights and
lead a busy life. She did love it here, she had some wonderful memories and
some really dark ones. But still it was her home.
Gliding across the fields she saw Armand high up on the tree looking maybe wishing at the star sprawled sky. She could see Armand's broad body partially blocking the moon light, silently crouching, breathing heavily. For that brief moment their eyes met, he knew and she responded. An unrequited love. As she moved to her east bound cottage she glimpsed back hoping she could catch his eyes again.
Vera kept a close watch on Siara, following her every thought and had her doubts, when would Siara know that Armand didn’t fancy her. He coveted someone like Vera, vivacious red hair, vixen eyes and a mouth so kissable. She knew that Armand could kill the world if Vera demanded it. She knew she would consume him, but she had to wait. The time would come, till then she knew that somehow she had to get rid of Siara once and for all.
