Power of Love

 

Sometimes life takes a different turn,

From how it was originally planned,

Dreams so patiently woven,

Just disappear along the strand. 

We wish for happiness,

For simple joys of life,

Heartaches and pain,

Rest in our minds. 

We seek love, 

Pine for togetherness,

But indifference and loneliness,

Is what we are left with. 

Then in the songs of the birds,

And the music of the rains,

In the brightness of the sun,

Twinkling of stars above. 

There dances with joy,

 this eternal hope,

Bringing someone like you,

Right into my life. 

To tell me the meaning of true love,

To make me feel the heaven above,

Gives me courage to move on,

Teaches me to care, 

To understand it all.
