Yes it's true, we are who we are,
For many we change,
But this soul of mine,
Does not anymore, no not tonight,
Will pretend to be the righteous one.
I was so wrong, thought I was strong,
Cursed and cried, to outlive this time,
Friends support, family loves,
To ease the pain you have day and night.
Then I searched for an answer,
Questioned my choice,
Thought about their actions,
And found I was not imprecise,
It's others and their plight.
Love is so blind, it sees the person's shine,
So pure and out of sight,
We fall into its trap once or twice.
We fall head down,
Like drowning in the pool of life,
In hopes to live the high life,
Not knowing though,
How to swim to the other side.
Somehow a hand pulls you out,
Makes you breathe again,
Helps you take the leap again,
Awakening from a dream,
You see someone helping,
It is the real you,
The one who is with you,
Always on your side.
